Rolanda Joanice- Rolanda was born and raised in Broward County, FL. Rolanda received her Bachelor of Arts with honors in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a minor in Communication Studies from the University of Florida in 2007. Rolanda also received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2010 from the Levin College of Law from the University of Florida. Through her internships and clinic experiences, Rolanda realized that she wanted to advocate for children and be part of the solution. Rolanda has devoted her career to the Child Welfare system and is currently a Senior Child’s Best Interest Attorney for the Guardian ad Litem Program in Miami Dade County, FL. She is assigned to the Unified Family Court division and advocates for the best interests of abused, neglected, and abandoned children since July 2014.
Rolanda has been a member of the Urban League of Broward County Young Professionals Network since November 2013. Rolanda currently is serving her second term as the chapter president of the Urban League of Broward County Young Professionals Network. Rolanda also served as the Vice President Program in 2015-2016, the College Tour Program Chair in 2014-2015, and had served in the Programs, Community Service, and Scholarship Committees.
