As a respected talent development executive, entrepreneur and life coach Deborah brings over 20 years of multi-industry experience to Teal Talents. Deborah is a life-long learner who is energetic, insightful and skilled with a passion to improve workplace culture and core competencies. Her contributions provide a pragmatic approach to facilitation that delivers a unique blend of expertise. Deborah’s leadership of Talent Acquisition and Curriculum Development teams at High Achievers provided a plateau of opportunities. Being a well respected academic advisor and test prep consultant, provided a gateway to partner with multi-state school districts. Her professional development and facilitation competencies supported organizations in leadership, succession planning, and performance management. Deborah worked is anchored in adult learning methodologies and human resources competencies while being a Franklin Covey facilitator.
As VP of Talent Development, Deborah delivers strategic direction for all aspects of Talent Development. Her responsibilities include creating and implementing goals that support the implementation of key processes related to talent acquisition, corporate learning strategy, and strategic workforce planning. Through collaboration with SMEs and business leaders, Deborah translates goals into an executable talent management strategy to have a competitive advantage in today’s complex business environment.
Deborah’s role at Teal Talents supports the organization’s core areas of expertise in evaluating learning programs, organizational and employee development, behavioral competencies, employee relations, career coaching, performance improvement, training delivery, and measurement & evaluation metrics.
Prior to joining Teal Talents, Deborah held various Training Development and Human Resources roles at Fortune 100, Fortune 500 and private organizations. Over the course of her tenure, she led teams responsible for recruiting, consultative sales training, leadership development, employee relations, diversity and inclusion. Deborah has masterfully created and implemented a combination of employee onboarding, recognition and leadership development programs for an array of industries. Deborah is a passionate and engaging facilitator and has participated in a variety of learning initiatives through numerous platforms.
Deborah holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tuskegee University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Southern New Hampshire University. As a member of the Association of Talent Development and Society of Human Resource Management, she stays current in industry related topics. Her consulting approach, perceptiveness, and sensitivity will help you to reach your business goals.
